Gather & Grow Casual (9:45-10:45)
Monday
Service Description
These sessions are created especially for babies on three (or more) naps who are in the earliest stages of exploring their world. At this age, discoveries are small but deeply meaningful—watching hands open and close, feeling the breeze on their skin, following the light through the leaves, or gazing at the faces around them. Whether your baby is lying quietly, kicking their legs, or beginning to roll, these sessions offer a calm, unhurried space to notice and delight in their natural curiosity. Our approach is influenced by RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) and the work of Emmi Pikler, shared widely through Janet Lansbury. These philosophies centre on respecting babies as capable individuals and trusting in their natural development. Instead of rushing milestones or filling time with structured activities, we provide an environment where babies can simply be free to explore at their own pace while you observe, support, and enjoy being present. There is no pressure here. Babies cry, need feeding, fall asleep, and require nappy changes. That’s all part of the flow, and it’s welcomed. You’ll also find practical comforts: easy parking, a pram-friendly ramp, nearby coffee at The Oar House, a kitchenette for making a hot drink, clean toilets with change table, and plenty of shade. “Babies thrive out of doors. They sleep better, eat better, play better, and learn better. Fresh air both soothes and stimulates.” – Magda Gerber
